Clerks is undeniably one of the funniest movies of all time! It spawned a sequel, a cartoon series, and multiple comic books and launched the career of creator Kevin Smith!
And though Clerks 2 didn't make the same splash at the box office, it at least gave us a sense of closure for that crazy cast of characters.
Well now Kevin is throwing all that away to write another one! LOLz!
But srsly, along with the screen shot of the title page, the filmmaker also shared a sentimental message for fans on his Facebook page. He wrote:
"THE BEGINNING OF THE END
20 years ago today, we started shooting CLERKS.
20 years later, with no plan or provocation, I jumped out of bed at 4:20 this morning and started writing CLERKS III.
It's been like hanging out with old friends.
And after 2 hours of tapping the keys and giggling, I have come to a conclusion?CLERKS III will be the best film I'll ever make."
Wow! That's a bold statement!
Hmm. We wonder what got the notorious stoner up at precisely 4:20?
