Cooking Up Faith: No Computers after 8:00 p.m. (Big Challenge!!)

Today's idea for serving others is to turn off the computer at 8:00 p.m. - the next morning! I know this is a HUGE challenge to start off with, but it's one day and we may be surprised at the reward!

Instead of spending time on the computer at night, we will spend time with our families, husbands, or neighbors. Not sit next to them and say, "uh huh" while we stare at the computer...I mean give them our full undivided attention.

Here are some ideas we could do to spend time with others instead of our computers tonight -

- Go on a walk and see who you bump into
-Sit and watch t.v. with your husband - the same show, the same room! :)
- Sit outside with your husband
- Call a family member or friend you haven't talked to in a while
- Play a board game or card game with a family member
- Pull out some lawn chairs, call up some neighbors, and ask them to meet you at your driveway

I did the last suggestion once with some neighbors at night after all my kids were in bed. We pulled out some chairs, gathered at my drive way with our favorite drink and snack just talked. We saw a shooting star literally fall right in front of us. Like I said - we may be surprised at the reward we receive if we do this!!
